Question:
If I was to create a free online book on how to draw manga, would you contribute to it or read it?

It will include:
*How not to draw manga.
*Character design tips.
*All contributors (students, people with questions & tips) will be chibified & guest star in the mini comics.
*Contributers will get their "before & after" art in the book, get to do their own mini comic, & get their website or DeviantArt page listed.

If you have a Deviant Art page or website, please post links to some of your art. If I like your stuff & you're willing to contribute, you can have your own chapters.

To set your mind at ease & prove I don't use that horrid Amerime style: http://likalaruku.deviantart.com/gallery/ (Man that stuff looks old, I really need to add some new stuff)

What skill level are you aiming at with your book? Is it a book for beginners?

I do all of my work using traditional media, but my expertise is more in composition and theory instead of hard technique or digital technique. I would be willing to contribute a chapter about composition if that is something that you would like to have in your book.

As far as thumbnails of my work, I mostly work in traditional media, so It would take time for me to upload some of my Art. If you are interested in having a chapter dedicated to composition, feel free to email me at Rotondom1@yahoo.com and I would be more than happy to chat about it and possibly get some works uploaded. I can do anime but I work in a variety of styles, from still life to cartoony to anime style. Most of my free time art is line art, with little digital touch up down to it. But like I said, I am more of a theory person than a hard details person, but I have often been described as someone with the personality of a college professor (it was one of my highest rated professions when I took the Meiers brigs personality exam^_^) so maybe that works in my favor.

/Facepalm Don't buy a how to draw manga book. Don't watch how to draw manga tutorials like Mark crilley off youtube. All the serious artist start off by learning real human anatomy before jumping into illustration. Do yourself a favor and draw from life first. Unless you wan't a "american like" anime style drawing, I highly approve you do.
