I want to be an interior designer, but first, I want to get a better feel for what they do. Is there a good, possibly free, program or website that I could use to get a feel for my future career BEFORE I jump right into it? Please help. Thank you.

Don't be afraid to jump in if you like it. One free program you can use is Google's Sketchup:

http://sketchup.google.com/

It is used by both beginners and professional designers. You do need to download it and it works on any system (Mac, PC, Linux etc) Tutorials are good and you will be doing great things in no time if you put your mind to it

Good luck, and follow your dreams

A decorator is any person who wishes to name themself that, no coaching concerned--they decide on out inner furniture. An inner clothier has been to university and can finally take the checks after the "intern" hours. A clothier can do a lot more legally--they are able to post plans to the constructing dept; paintings on structural alterations in a form a million constructing (picket production) and so forth. They do house making plans, paintings with human ergometrics, understand constructing codes, and so forth. ASID--American Society of Interior Designers can supply you the standards to be a clothier. The $ is everywhere th position considering that there are "big name" designers however many many "non-big name" designers. You can also be hired through a small co; a huge corporation or be self-hired. $ comes from many points as good, billing, promoting, designing customized.
