Keep it out of the sun. And don't touch it so much, put it in an glass frame or something. house lights are fine but sunlight will make it fade. Don't keep it in garages or basements either. you should put it in the glass as soon as possible. Be sure not to touch the pencil part too much or else it might smear.

If you want to learn to pull realistic hair like a master then you have the right teacher here https://tr.im/9BPai , Realistic Pen Symbol Mastery.

With Realistic Pencil Portrait Mastery you will see the absolute most effective way of draw hair and technique to add authenticity to hair drawing.

Perhaps you are wondering what sort of drawing items you will require to be able to start drawing along with this particular Realistic Pencil Portrait Mastery course. Unlike different pulling eBook s and classes that you may have purchased previously, that suggest you buy tons of high priced drawing items to begin with, Realistic Pencil Portrait Mastery is different. To get going drawing portraits in pad just like a master, you simply need 2H, 2B, and 5B timber cased pens and an eraser. Other supplies you will be needing you most likely have laying throughout the house like q-tips and tissues.

Realistic Pencil Portrait Mastery is a straightforward but efficient guide.

Ehm..

If you want to learn how to draw realistic pencil portraits I strongly recommend this site http://pencilportraits.toptips.org

I have bought their course because I wanted to be able to draw realistic portraits and I felt that I did not have the skills to produce a beautiful realistic portrait.

This course has been a great help, although I still need loads of practice I feel that I have learned so much through following this course in techniques and observation. The lessons are so easy to follow especially with the aid of the process maps which show which steps to tackle next.

an application of fixative (spray can style protectant; sold in artist-supply stores under various brand-names) may help to preserve the qualities of your drawing. directions are on the can. I've heard of artists using inexpensive hair-spray to prevent damage; but I'm not sure whether hair-spray can prevent fading. of course its usually an excellent idea to test a new product first, to be sure it won't harm the art that matters most. :)

I've worked in both graphite and colored pencil for several decades and haven't heard of regular pencil (graphite) drawings fading in "average" conditions -- except over many decades. (on the other hand, colored-pencil drawings are known to have a greater chance of losing their original hues -- if placed/framed in direct sunlight.)

if storing an important drawing rather than framing it for display, I always place it loosely on a stiff & slightly larger cardboard -- and then cover it with a protective sheet of paper that is taped down on all 4 corners (just enough tape to prevent the drawing from slipping free and to allow me to easily remove the drawing later).

somehow I'm reminded of "acid-free" paper for artwork -- best for art that will be saved or framed. its a special paper (usually found in artist-supply stores) which won't turn yellow and become brittle over time -- because of how its made.

thanks for considering my personal thoughts/experience about your question. hopefully I've somehow helped you to arrive at your most-satisfying conclusions. best wishes.

Graphite is nomally considered a permanent medium... There's nothing much to "fade". Maybe you used a poor grade of paper?

You might try spraying it with a fixative... The kind used for charcoal drawings.

Time to talk to your mom about it. Make her understand that her past is not your life and that she should just be the best mother of her kids and not act just like her mom. She's missing out a lot of things. Not seeing your significance. She should understand. Make her understand. Make things happen :)

Keep it out of sunlight if possible. Also, there are special sealers designed to prevent fading.
