black matches with everything and it really depends of what you're doing on your embroidery

I love the following combinations:
apple green or other light yellowish green shades + a soft gold
turcoise green + dark pink and fuchsia
dark green or pine green + white
and many more, depending on what shades of green you choose...The first one is my fave!

green goes with yellow, brown, black, white, Gold, red.... basically if you look at things in nature that are green like tree leaves for example and the color of the flowers each tree makes those colors are the ones that go with it.
i generally don't like blue with green sometimes it works but usually u have to have a in between color.

Black, white, and grays will go because they are neutrals. The full value range of reds (pink-dark red) will go because they are the complement of green. Complementary colors set each other off, and enhance the others hue. And oranges and purples (again, full value--light to dark-- range of each) because all of them are secondary colors on the color wheel and are part of a triadic color system. Good luck!

any colour you want. depending on what shade of green you use, certain colours may look better. i.e. olive greens look good with other neutral colours like browns and the like, whereas brighter shades of green go well with other bright colours or white. medium green looks particularly good with black and shades of mauve...

only green matches green, but for a lovely contrast try cream, white, black, or for something outlandish go for green's opposite which is red.
