Pick a band
Find some pictures of the band's logo. Take your pick, and print it out for 2 different reasons (see below)
Method One
Know that once you have your band and tee shirt picked out, use your fabric paint (red or white would look best against the plain black shirt) to paint on the logo of the band
Method Two
Pick your band and then printing out a logo, take an exacto knife and cut out the letters and pictures (if there are any) from the picture to make a stencil.
Take the fabric paint and paint in the stencil on the shirt
Method Three
Go to this link http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/C6049A or if you can't order anything over the internet ask in your local stationary shop or office supplies shop etc.
From here you can buy special paper that irons onto tshirts and other types of clothing it costs but you get more than one sheet in a pack and it's worth it.
Using iron on paper it's really easy to make your own band tshirt, just pick the logo you want to use, put it into a picture editing program and flip/mirror it so it's back to front. You have to do this otherwise the band logo will come out on the tshirt the wrong way round.
Once you've done this you can print it out, it's agood idea to try printing it out on paper first to test it incase anything goes wrong. Then you can put your iron on paper into your printer and print off your design. The design needs to be back to front. Don't put the iron on paper into a laser printer otherwise the heat will melt the paper.
When you go to the printout settings just before you print, select paper type and seclect 'iron on' before you print it out. If you can't find it don't worry about it, it should still print out fine.
Once it's printed cut out your band logo carefully. It might bleed in the wash if you cut into the band logo so be careful!!
Set your iron to cotton and Iron your logo onto a plain tshirt, using a cotton one is best, and light colour tshirts show up the logo better than darker coloured tshirts.
Too much ironing can cause the image to melt too far into the fabric. Too little ironing can cause the transfer to peel or crack.
Ironing the edges in a circular motion helps keep the logo on.
Wait for the iron on papaer to cool completeley before you peel off the paper, the logo will come up the right way round on the tshirt.
