Although at first sight one would think all the OBEY propoganda is telling you to obey authority i sort of see it as telling you to question/reject authority.

There is one face if this guy who tells you to OBEY, and his poster and sticker is everywhere and when i see it i think it's ridiculous, like who would obey this dude with this ridiculous face who is just telling me to obey, leading to it sending the message of how ridiculous authority can be

do i have any idea what i'm talking about?

What was Shepard Fairey's intend meaning of OBEY?

It was no more than Fairey's campaign to get people to think for themselves.

The face is a representation of the late professional wrestler, Andre the Giant.

The posters and grafitti placings were meant to be an obiqutious reminder to just start thinking.
