Hello Eveyrone, i am someone who have great interest in digital art and designing. I have been using photoshop and related adobe packs since loooong. I have pretty much experience in all these packages such as PS, Ai, Flash and 3Ds max. (www.boyboss.deviantart.com - thats my portfolio).

What matters is that I havent studied them from any institute or have done any course. I learnt them by my own and from my friends. Moreover these, I have completed my BBA from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

What my interests say is to go for this art category itself. I am looking for a job now and I want to get into media related jobs as it may give me experience.

I want someone to advice me on what to go for and what to concentrate on. Please visit my portfolio if possible and find my works to advice me on what I should concentrate on. Where should I go for my studies?...When should I go for my studies in this interesting field of mine?.

Expecting a reply soon.

Well, I have to say I guess you didn't get a degree in grammar & spelling. =o)

I looked at your portfolio, my honest opinion is you have a really good feel for design, however a lot of the work is pretty simple. Something that a lot of people already do or can do. It also sounds like you already know the direction you want to go into. With the experience you already have, I wouldn't worry about going into too many courses in graphic design. I would look at getting into the field with the degree you already have & your portfolio. Check your local craigslist for art job openings in your area, you may be surprised what people are looking for & a lot ask for experience & examples of work rather then actual art courses. (I got the fine art degree, but never really needed it when applying for & receiving misc' jobs.) But that's just my opinion. Keep it up, you definitely have talent!

Definitely you can be a graphics designer if you hold your interest in it. Using applications just out of curiosity and making some experiments and losing interest as days goes is not a right attitude in this field, one need to be have lifelong interest.

Now a day’s animation and graphics design field is booming and opportunities are surplus. Quickly you can take up some course in animation and graphic and obtain certification which helps you to find a good placement as you are not having any art certification.

Wish you all the best in your endeavour.

Well you do not have your portfolio listed. But I suggest you go for a collaboration media and graphic design courses, I took one back in community college and it brings you through a lot more interesting things then just simply designing. Go to the site of the college you wish to go to and see what programs and classes they offer.

A lot of companies also will hire people without a degree if they have, and proved, their skill in the areas they need, but it is always great to have anyway.

Well that's good that u have inclination towards the graphic designing. Normally private firms don't consider much on degree rather they focus on yr work and abilities.

Here are many jobs for graphic designer available. Try yr luck:
