You have unwrapped the 3d model, but have you assigned the texture to the material that is applied to the model? If no, follow these steps. 1)select the model. goto material tab then goto textures tab in properties window(this is neccessary as this step tells Blender to show the textures used for the specific material). 2)Add a new texture, Select type: Image or movie file. 3)In the Image panel browse your image texture. 4)In Mapping Panel select UV as co-ordinates and select your UV layer as Layer. 5)Render.

They could be not placed as the right kind of texture. You could have removed or moved the file the texture is in to a different location. Really it could be a lot of things. And I only know the Maya software, but I'm assuming they function similar.

If you have UV unwrapped it and assigned a texture through the UV/Image editor then the texture will not show in the render.

You will have to assign the texture to the material. To do that follow these steps:

1. Select your Object.

2. Goto Material Tab.

3.Then goto Texture Tab(Next to Tab Panel).

4.If there is a texture already assigned, change it's type to Image. else add one texture and then select type Image.

5. select your Image from image panel.(You can see how the texture affects the material by turning on Both button under preview panel)

6.Select UV as your coordinate in mapping panel. Then select your respective layer.

7.Make sure the Color check box is tick and set to 1 in the influence panel.

Actually there can be many reasons for this problem.

You can send you file at catch_linil@yahoo.co.in so I can see what the problem is.
