On a Tablet PC, it's a lot harder navigating the Internet and you can't type unless you want to be typing 0.5 words per hour. A benefit is the fact that they're sleek, light, and fast booting up. Another disadvantage is the pen you HAVE to use. you can't use a different stylus and if you lose it it'll end up costing you 30-50$ depending on brand of tablet. My dad had one and I d it. It was really difficult managing my iPod and they're slow about internet connections. If I were you, I would definitely choose laptop.

well tablet pc looks very cool, but I've got a middle solution: WACOM Cintiq tablet. it's cheaper than a laptop (not to mention a tablet pc). Right now I'm using a Graphire tablet but I'm going for the Cintiq in a couple of months.

Haven't used the built in tablets as of yet, but I have a Wacom Graphire 4 x 5, and it works splendidly.
I've also tried other tablet makes from sizes 6 x 9 to 12 x 12, and I have to say that the one I have (the 4 x 5) is the best bang for your buck.
I think with a tablet PC, your hand would get in the way, why not just draw on paper instead? haha.
