Can you rate my ink drawing?

Question

It was an entry for a PC wallpaper contest maybe a month ago. Didn't win, so just wondering what I should improve on for next time. Thanks!

What you should improve is what everyone talks about. I love the pen drawing, I think the fruit silhouettes are witty, and the top is kind of interesting -- bt what do they have to do with each other? That is either two or three images. I'll be charitable and say two, bt the fruit does punch a hole rather than adding anything. Without it you could have a fascinating cityscape and perhaps all it would need would be clouds to make us assume that it was Sidney Sime or Roger Dean who did it. Nice try though. I'd give it an eight out of ten, with a seven needed for a pass.

Id give it a 7. I like everything about it, but am somewhat confused as to how the fruit etc fit into the pic in the background.

I no longer do critiques of people's work on Yahoo Answers because of the volume of hate mail this would often generate.



But I HAVE to comment on your wonderful treatment of the new, Yahoo Answer, generic exclamation point avatar. It's cute and very unique.

Well, it doesn't really look like ink. It looks to be partly clip art from the computer, and perhaps some photoshopped illustration. But if that is not true, I think that it is pretty good.

its really good! i think the backgrouns doesnt really match like the main things in the picture, got a bit confused. but apart from that WELL DONE.

wow, it's really good. I do think there is a lot going on in it though. also, the sky dosen't match the rest.

i think the concept is cool but the composition just doesnt lead your eye, i think you need a little more definition.
