Question:
Is there a way to make a pen and ink scan pure black and white?

I made a pen and ink drawing, and I scanned it. What I want to be able to do is fill the outlined areas with a pure color, but since the white of the paper was scanned an showed up as shades of off white, it does not fill except for maybe a single pixel or if I'm lucky a block as big as the paint bucket icon.

I tried using the MS paint option of black and white, but it turns all the off-white black as well, which gives me a solid black page with white specks here and there. Is there any fast method/program that will turn blacks/dark grays solid black and white/off whites pure white?

Go to www.aviary.com, or www.pixlr.com MS Paint is crap.

Those two sites will give you more powerful tools.

You will probably have to do some touch up work, but not much.

You will want to adjust the contrast higher, to make the whites whiter and the blacks blacker.

If the scan is in color, you will want to DESATURATE it, which will turn it to "grayscale," with no colors or tints. Then when you increase the contrast, it will be Black and White.

You will most likely find faint areas that are incomplete lines. With either of those two online applications, you can then take a small paintbrush (1 pixel or more), and with black, connect the lines so that there are no gaps.

Then you can use the paintbucket tool to fill areas with color or paint in the areas you want.

Sticky tape and a small peice of paper! Write on the paper, reduce it to be smaller than the sticky tape, stick them jointly so the wrighting shows on the graceful section, and then wrap it around the cord on the end the position the plug is, so the sticky tape and paper is folded in 1/2 and the sticky ends tournament up. i desire this makes sence and facilitates!
