I just started zentangling/zendoodling and I'm in love. I just used sharpies and inky pens but I really want to invest in some good quality pens! What are essential writing utensils I should have for drawing/doodling purposes? I'm thinking about purchasing micron pens.

I had no idea what zentangling/zendoodling was until after reading this and looking it up. Now that I know, it really would all depend on how accurate you want your final result to appear. I use felt tip pens and calligraphy pens for many things. Therefore, I also use bottled inks, too. You could spend much money on materials. Personally, to keep costs down before building up to top of the line items, I would invest in some ink pens that you can replace the cartridge to keep costs down, and either Canson or Strathmore paper. Start off with 40lb paper and a white acrylic eraser just in case.

DickBlick.com, Jerry's Artarama, and Office Depot are good sources for ordering online to cut down on your trips to the stores.

Zebra and Fiber Castell are a good way to go, or ballpoints, or Sakuras or Microns uwu
