I made a website w/adobe illstrator cs3. How can I export the enitie file (images and layers) without losing anything. I tried to simply open the Illustrator file with fireworks, but some things are not showing up the same sizes as they were in illustrator cs3.
Can someone please help me. I PROMISE I will give you 10 points for best answer.

For web graphics, you need a gif, jpeg or png formatted image.
You can't export a vector based file(illustrator) into a raster file (photoshop) and hold the same level of quality. You can't preserve Illustrator layers going into photoshop. I'm unfamiliar with Fireworks, but I suspect that is true for it as well.
Try saving out the file as in PDF format, then opening in Photoshop. It will still raster to a lower quality resolution, but perhaps you can hold the majority of the look and feel of your design this way. Remember, you will have to get the design to about 72dpi at final size.
If you can work with layers and transparency in Fireworks, then the workaround might be to export out your layers as separate files, and rebuild your layering in Fireworks.

Choose the Export option under File in Illustrator, select Photoshop (or others) in the drop down menu, an option menu will come up, choose maximum editability (and the other options that suit your final use).
