How to make art with just a pen?

Question

So I just moved to North Carolina for college and left all my art supplies at home. I would go out and buy some more but Im broke and have no transportation to get to a store. I would really like to learn how to draw and shade well in pen because there was a girl in highschool who would sit next to me & make beautiful art work with just a pen. Could anyone direct me to some good videos and websites that can help? Oh & also what are good ways to shade better?

Practice a lot. You can get very good shading with a ballpoint pen. Try rougher and smoother paper too; the effect will vary dramatically.
