go to your profile

and then

edit your info

you can create ur own avator

do you mean an avitar or an animated GIF image (like an AIM buddy icon)? you can go to like http://www.avitars.yahoo.com for an avitar if that's what u want. Otherwise go to a good buddy icon website (i suggest http://www.iconator.com ) and download one of those pix to your computer and save it as your icon or something like that. I don't know how well an animated GIF would work, sine they aren't supported on Yahoo! messenger, but it may turn out just fine.
