I am trying to make an album cover with an app on my iPad and i need to find out what one to use. I want to have a picture of my head in the bottom right corner with a think bubble coming up, with a lot of different things in the bubble and being able to crop and cut pictures and put them in. I also want to be able to use a lot of art from like google, or clip art and change colors around. please help.... thanks in advance

Some good ones are Sketchbook Express/Sketchbook Pro for iPad, Adobe Ideas, ArtStudio for iPad, Inspire Pro, and Brushes - iPad Edition. I'm pretty sure that all of them (except Brushes and Inspire Pro) have lite versions that are pretty decent and free so you can try them out and see how you like it ^_^

Just to let you know, Adobe Ideas is a vector art app. ArtStudio is very Photoshop-ish.

Good luck with your album cover! :D

There are several free drawing apps for the iPad and I have a few loaded onto mine, including iCharcoal and ArtAppFree. (do not waste the download time on Go!Go! Paint) However, all the things you describe you want to do would require a more sophisticated app and a lot of learning time to do it right.

I suggest you go ahead and spend a little money (about seven or eight dollars) on SketchBook Pro. Its a VERY sophisticated and powerful app that will do all the thngs you seem to want. It supports layers and has some nice color and brush controls. It will be a little complex to learn but, you are going to have to do that, anyway to import clip art, modify colors, add text and so on.

Remember, the easier an app is to use, the less it is capable of doing.
