I m trying to make a "tattoo" stencil for a henna design. I just want the easiest way to transfer the design but also will have the best turnout. So far, I've just been printing my designs onto wax paper and that works pretty good except for the fact that it doesn't adhere to your skin smoothly and sometimes the design gets smudged because the printer ink stays wet on the wax paper. I do not have transfer or carbon paper. I m wondering if there is a way to print my design onto tracing paper and transfer the printer ink onto my skin. Basically use tracing paper like transfer paper without having to retrace the design in pen first. If I do have to trace it over, will sharpie or vis-a-vis markers do the trick?

I have an inkjet printer, tracing paper & pens and markers to work with only. If you have other ways to make a stencil with these items please share!

You'll need pen and pencil carbon paper, NOT carbon paper meant for typewriters. Or you can beg a friendly tattoo artist to give you some, if you have tattooed friends get them to ask for you.

My solution to use what you have? Trace the design HEAVILY with pencil. Like just grind it on there with a soft lead pencil. Then on skin that's just ever so slightly damp, press the pencil marks on. Then be really, really careful not to smudge the pencil marks as you henna.

With the printer ink and the sharpie on the tracing paper, they just won't transfer :( Tried rubbing alcohol, deoderant and a tiny little bit vaseline. None of them are transfering

Oh... two points I think cuts it. *reads details* I think details are like the ghosts of Christmas past. I've never seen a pot of rainbow gold and I've always owned a dishwasher so YES! Hippopotamus... Quantum... it seems like a natural combo.

Yes! I don't see why it wouldn't work
